Jonas Söderlund

Professor

Jonas Söderlund, PhD, is professor at BI Norwegian School of Management and Senior Research Follow at the KITE Excellence Center, Linköping Unviersity. He is also the Director of the national research and development network “Svenska Projekt” (www.svenskaprojekt.nu). His main research interests concern strategic management and project management, and primarily the relationship between strategic management, strategic change and project management. One empirical study focuses on the development of project competence in Swedish industry. Söderlund also leads a research project focusing on the management of project-based companies, including issues linked to human resource management. In this project, a number of Swedish companies participate, e.g. Ericsson, Volvo, Saab, Tetra Pak, and Scania. Earlier studies have centered on the management of complex development projects, the function of deadlines and arenas and the consequences of temporary organizing.

His research has been published in e.g. Organization Studies, Human Resource Management, International Business Review, R&D Management, International Journal of Innovation Management and International Journal of Technology Management.
