Professor
Anders Söderholm´s research focuses on projects as a general mode of organizing various kinds of industrial endeavors, and on the management issues connected to projects. Projects are a common way of organizing industrial activities and as a consequence of customer orientation and interaction, shortened product life cycles, globalization and an increased interest in employee motivation (to mention some reasons) the use of projects tends to increase. Despite this, general management models and theories are rather superficial when dealing with projects. The research thus aims at developing knowledge on projects and will contribute to project theory, practice and training. Considering work organization issues, main focus is on project managers as middle managers. Three general areas are of prime interest:
Projekt
Organized Companies
Management Issues
Work Organization.
